I'll have to admit, that I'm not very good in the kitchen. Cooking has never been one of my passions. When I do cook...I always know when everything is done, because all the smoke alarms go off all over the house!
Anyway, I've cooked pancakes several time over the years, and the one thing I've never been able to do, is to make a round pancake...or even an oval one. All my pancakes resemble one of the states across the country. For example:
I pour batter on the hot griddle, and there's a pancake that is shaped like the state of Florida; another one is shaped like the state of Nevada; and another like the state of Oklahoma...
And, there's always a little batter left at the bottom of the bowl..and, you guessed it...the state of Rhode Island.
Who says pancakes have to be round?
