Cooperation: I want to focus my consulting practice on cooperation! Leave the negatives at the door...attitude; defiance; gossip; put-down; mud-slinging; bickering; politics; and so forth. |
Positive Environment; From the outset, all of us should make a pledge to work together in a positive environment, where there can be success for all the participants. |
Getting Acquainted: There should be a short getting acquainted meeting , take a tour of the business; and have a general question and answer period. |
Ethics, What's That?: I believe that 90 percent of business people all across the nation are hard working, decent and honest people with integrity... doing their jobs, and building their businesses. But, this issue is at the top of the list of importance for me, and has to be addressed from the outset. Simply put, I will not engage or be a part of, any illegal or immoral behavior of any kind, in working with anyone, for any reason, at any company. Business people, or anyone else, do not have to cheat and to lie to win. Winning comes with cooperation, and with the implementation of good ideas! Reporting: I will only report to somebody in the company who has authority, and can make policy, such as a manager; general manager or owner. I will not report to lower level people such as a lead person or supervisor. I like to think that I am a person who gets things done, and I have to have access to the top people in the company. Employment: I will not work for a tobacco or a liquor business, or religious company; organization or group of any kind. Trust and a hand shake: I don't know if the word "trust" exists anymore, but I would like to leave lawyers and a lot of technical blah-blah out of the picture. I don't know if things can be done with trust and a hand-shake anymore, but I am willing to try. |
